Hell’s Kitchen – Marafa Kanyon

Don’t miss a half-day trip to Marafa Kanyon. An hour away from Malindi along an interesting drive through great plains, villages and acacia woods. Also known as Hell’s Kitchen. It is an odd sandstone canyon that might be Kenya’s best kept-secret. It gets its name from an ancient legend which tells of a very wealthy family who once lived in this area. They had so many cows that they used the milk not to drink but to wash their clothes. The legend goes that God made them fall into this canyon where the sun’s heat reaches very high temperatures.

The mix of about five different colors of sandstone offers a magical view at sunset. It is as if the rocks have caught fire!

Malindi is a continuous swarm of people, tuk-tuks and vibrant mini buses known as matatus. There are children coming to and from school in different uniforms, people riding bicycles, lots of people on foot… Yet there aren’t many cars. You can explore here in complete tranquillity.

Tsavo Safari

Tsavo National Park is only a 2 hour drive from Malindi. The perfect solution to enjoy the beauty of beach and one of the most unforgettable experiences: a safari. This is one of the wildest natural parks and you can see a wide variety of wildlife. Including Tsavo red elephants, giraffes, gazelles, lions and cheetahs. We have a number of overnight options available for you to combine a safari with your beach holiday in Kenya.

Wining and Dining at Diamonds Dream of Africa

Centrally located on the property, the FAEL’S Cocktail Bar is a great place to meet up and have delicious refreshing drinks. Beside the all-inclusive drinks, the bar serves a selection of premium imported liquors and spirits at charge.

Guests may use sister property next door, Sandies Tropical Village giving you more options.

Light meals and snacks are served around the pool and on the beach at an extra charge.

The Terrace

Guests may choose to dine on the outdoor terrace or inside the air-conditioned restaurant overlooking the pool. The à la carte cuisine has an Italian flair with a selection of fresh fish and seafood. There are also vegetarian menus with the majority of vegetables sourced from the in-house organic farm. Soft drinks, water, selected wines, local beer, tea and coffee are included with the meal.

Onda Beach Grill

Situated on the beach, the restaurant serves a selection of seafood and meat dishes in a tranquil setting, accompanied by all inclusive drinks and wine. A table for dinner at this restaurant must be pre-booked and the cost of the meal is not included in the all inclusive package.

The main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet, offering a fusion of international and Italian cuisine. Vegetarian menu is available upon request.
