Best time for a Zimbabwe Honeymoon
Your Zimbabwe honeymoon will be great all year so this depends on your primary wants. If you are only going to Victoria Falls (which flows all year on the Zimbabwe side), then to see the Falls in full flood, February to April/May is the best. Don’t forget, you will get very wet and it is difficult to see the Falls through the spray! From May, the waters drop so it is easy to capture the actual Falls and not get too wet! The Falls are at their lowest from around October to January. This is when there is very little water on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. This makes it the best time to visit Angels or Devil’s Pool on the Zambian side. We will arrange transfers for you. This is where you can swim on the very edge of Victoria Falls! It is an amazing experience,
For a Zimbabwe safari honeymoon, the best time to visit is during the dry season as that is when the weather is warm. But particularly, it is easier to find game gathering at the dwindling water supplies. This is typically between May and October. The rains start from around November and then the wildlife has more access to water so is more spread out. This is usually afternoon thunderstorms that are mostly short lived, so won’t put a damper on your honeymoon.
