Africa, in particular South Africa and Mauritius, have great golf courses coupled with a year-round golfing climate. Ever considered a golf tour with your friends and/or family? How about a company incentive golf package? Or fancy taking a family holiday and being able to experience golf in Africa?
You choose if you want to do a self-drive golf tour. Or have the convenience and expertise of an experienced driver / guide on a fully-escorted golf tour.
South Africa Golf
South Africa is the obvious choice due to the number and quality of courses found here – over 500 golf courses.
The Western Cape’s (Cape Town and most of the Garden Route) main golf season is during the summer months; from November to April. The courses are lush and green all year round and most are very scenic, surrounded by mountains and beautiful beaches. Watch out for the wind, which adds to the challenge.
KwaZulu Natal has mild winters (May to September), which makes it a golfers’ paradise. Some of Southern Africa’s top courses are found in this region. Zimbali, Wild Coast, Beachwood, Durban Country Club, Princes Grant, and Champagne Sports Resort golf courses are ranked in the top 30 courses in South Africa.
The most famous golf courses in South Africa are probably:
Fancourt Country Club Estate in George (four courses); on the Garden Route and
Sun City complex; which comprises the Lost City Golf Course & the Gary Player Country Club (where the annual Nedbank Golf Challenge is held).
With all that Southern Africa has to offer; it is easy to combine this into any type of holiday you wish. How about including a safari or spending a few days relaxing on the beautiful beaches; the choices are limitless.
South Africa Golf Incentives Tours
For your incentive tours, Africa A-Z arranges anything including on-course company advertising and promotions and any type of adventure or “wow’ factor you require. Hot air ballooning, and Harley Davidson excursions to name a few are big hits for companies or private individuals. From Golf Courses bordering the Kruger National Park where golfers have witnessed a leopard catching his prey in the North to spotting whales in the ocean while musing over your next shot in the South. Add to this the favorable exchange rate and the culture and friendliness of the people and you are truly destined to have the most unforgettable golf incentive.
Mauritius Golf
Mauritius offers some great 18-hole golf courses. Play golf on a beautiful island surrounded by beaches; heavenly enjoyment for your golf tour, incentive package, or family holiday. Mauritius has a long golf history. In fact, it was the third country to introduce golf after the UK and India.
Some of the 18-hole golf courses in Mauritius are:
