Getting to your Mozambique family holiday
Many international visitors fly into Maputo International Airport (MPM) or directly into Vilanculos Airport (VNX). Internal travel often involves a combination of light aircraft, road transfers (sometimes requiring a 4×4), and boat transfers to the islands.
Access to the Bazaruto Archipelago is via a short flight from Johannesburg (or Nelspruit after a safari) to Vilanculos. Else, self-drive for accommodation in Southern Mozambique.
