Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp is on the beautiful Loisaba Conservancy in Laikipia. Perched on the edge of an escarpment, the camp is designed to capitalize on unhindered views across Loisaba’s mottled landscape all the way to Mt Kenya. All accommodations and main areas enjoy a breathtaking vantage point over an expansive panorama.
The inviting main areas of Loisaba Tented Camp include a large open dining area, a separate open lounge, and a bar. There is a large wooden decking area for outside dining, relaxing, and enjoying the view. And one of Africa’s most picturesque infinity pools. There is WiFi internet throughout the camp.
African themed sophistication and style are the flavors of Loisaba Tented Camp. Spacious and airy tents are custom built with large top to bottom doors and windows, high ceilings, and polished wood floors. The tented suites are adorned with chic African furniture with a modern European twist. The bathrooms are luxurious with a double basin vanity and solar heated hot water cascading from a rainfall shower to deliver a revitalizing cleanse after an action packed day.

Loisaba has eleven double en suite tents, seven 7m x 7m and one 9m x 9m. Each has a wide verandah and a private grassed area in front with expansive views over the Laikipia plains.
Family Accommodation
The camp has three family combinations. Each comprised of a Double Tent and a Convertible Twin/Double Tent adjoined by a walkway. Each en suite tent enjoys an inside lounge area, a verandah sitting area, a bathroom with a double basin vanity, a large shower, and an enclosed flush toilet.

Game Driving Day and Night
Loisaba boasts a fleet of custom designed Land Rover safari vehicles for game driving both day and night. The guides of Loisaba are all KPSGA Bronze and Silver rated and have intimate knowledge of the wildlife and culture of the area.
Loisaba’s abundant wildlife across its rolling landscape is truly wild. It is huge and you could take months exploring this land and you’d never encounter the same view twice. We can assure you that you will see the most extraordinary natural wonders. Spectacular animal life that is wild, free, and exhilarating to observe. And a kaleidoscopic variety of birds, both endemic and migratory.
Loisaba is a corridor of an elephant migration route and holds a healthy population of lions. As well as notable northern species such as the Grevy zebra, Beisa oryx, and Somali ostrich. Loisaba is one of the best places in East Africa to see Wild Dogs.

Photographic Safari
The vehicles are suitable for both amateur and professional photographers. Other features specific to photographers include:
Retractable windscreens to afford 360 degree views.
Bean bags in the vehicle to assist photographers to steady their camera.
Extra padded bags, pillowcases, etc can be provided to assist photographers with camera storage.
Guides are familiar with the wildlife movements and can assist the photographer to get the best possible shot by positioning the vehicle in the best place.
Exclusive Use Safari
Guests can enjoy an exclusive-use vehicle with experienced driver-guide for the day. Should guests wish to stay out all day, this exclusive-use vehicle includes the option of a picnic hamper.
For keen photographers, seats can be removed to allow for additional space for photographers to move around. The two front seats can be replaced with a mattress for photographers that want low angle shots.

Guided Bush and Bird Walks
Leaving the car behind for a bush walk allows an up close and intimate experience of nature. Take a walk with one of Loisaba’s excellent guides, learn how to recognize animal signs and tracks, and appreciate the smaller creatures and flora of Africa. All while enjoying the surroundings at a slower pace.
Horse Riding
Horse riding provides a chance to experience wildlife from a different perspective. Trotting through herds of zebra, impala or giraffe is an exhilarating experience. Loisaba’s horses are bush raised and trained, allowing you to get close to the wildlife.
Horse riding normally lasts for 2 hours. Only riders with experience can partake in this activity.

Getting there
There are daily flights departing from Nairobi. Loisaba airstrip is a 1hr flight from Wilson Airport (Nairobi). It is a 15 minute drive from the airstrip to Loisaba Tented Camp.

The first single room in any booking will not incur a single room supplement. Any additional single rooms in the same booking will be charged at the full single room rate. Except when a booking contains more than 3 single rooms. Any additional single rooms beyond the first 3 single rooms will be charged at the double room rate.
