The 51 rooms are on two levels in the resort’s tropical garden. Either with private balconies on the first floor or covered terraces for ground floor rooms. There are 24 x Junior Suites, 23 x Deluxe Rooms and 4 x Superior Rooms. The style is a combination of English and Lamu design with large bathroom with walk-in shower. All rooms can sleep 3 x adults or 2 x adults and 2 x children.

Sandies Tropical Village Activities

It is possible to book the many activities organized each day at the sports centre and PADI certified diving centre. Let yourself be drawn in by the underwater world with lessons for every ability. It is also possible to organize beach volleyball and beach football matches.

The dive centre is run by Blue Fin Dive Center.

Hell’s Kitchen – Marafa Kanyon

Don’t miss a half-day trip to Marafa Kanyon. An hour away from Malindi along an interesting drive through great plains, villages and acacia woods. Also known as Hell’s Kitchen. It is an odd sandstone canyon that might be Kenya’s best kept-secret. It gets its name from an ancient legend which tells of a very wealthy family who once lived in this area. They had so many cows that they used the milk not to drink but to wash their clothes. The legend goes that God made them fall into this canyon where the sun’s heat reaches very high temperatures.

The mix of about five different colors of sandstone offers a magical view at sunset. It is as if the rocks have caught fire!

Malindi Tour

Malindi is a continuous swarm of people, tuk-tuks and vibrant mini buses known as matatus. There are children coming to and from school in different uniforms, people riding bicycles, lots of people on foot… Yet there aren’t many cars. You can explore here in complete tranquillity.
