Shamwari Safari Wedding (Eastern Cape)

Shamwari is an unsurpassed safari wedding destination for those who either want to elope. Or; for larger wedding groups of up to 70 guests. Shamwari Private Game Reserve is situated in Eastern Cape, South Africa with easy access from Port Elizabeth Airport (Gqeberha).

There are 6 luxury lodges to choose from for your malaria free safari wedding. These are and can accommodate:
Sindile – 9 premier tents for 18 guests
Long Lee Manor – 17 luxury rooms and suites and 1 family suite for up to 38 guests
Bayethe – 12 luxury tented suites for 24 guests
Sarili – 5 luxury rooms for 10 guests
Eagles Crag – 9 junior suites for 18 guests
Riverdene – 9 luxury rooms for up to 23 guests (18 adults and 5 children)

There is a variety of unique and breathtaking venues that will help create the wedding experience of a lifetime. Including the Old Elephant Boma in the heart of the bushveld, a boma at Riverdene and Long Lee Manor. As well as the new indoor banqueting venue at Long Lee Manor for a more glamorous and sophisticated celebration.

Each of the Shamwari lodges can be completely privatized for your use. Depending on the size of your wedding party. Setting the scene for an intimate and unforgettable reception.

The added benefit of a Shamwari Safari Wedding is it is in a malaria-free area. This is great for not only adults but is also ideal if you want to bring children too.

Shamwari Safari Wedding Package:

All packages are tailor-made to suit each couple and their guests. It would always include a private and secluded bush venue to host your wedding ceremony and exchanging of vows. In addition, you would have a dedicated wedding coordinator to assist with the finer details of your wedding at Shamwari. A meeting would be arrange with the couple and the Chef to plan a specially created wedding reception menu. Obviously, this would all depend on the number of people attending your wedding.

Keep in mind, that we are here to create your dream wedding, so will do our best to secure any requests you may have. To assist you to create your best wedding package, we have two packages to give you some idea. The cost will depend on the number of people so do let us know this so we can quote you accordingly. We are happy to tailor-make your special day whether it’s for two or seventy guests. These packages are based on a Christian Minister. Including legal fees, an unabridged wedding certificate application and collection. Should you require an alternative religious ceremony, this would be for your own account.

Standard Wedding Package

Our preferred Christian Minister to officiate the ceremony.
Bridal bouquet and boutonniere for the groom
Sole use safari vehicle for the wedding couple and bush photographs after the ceremony.
Canapés and complimentary glass of MCC to toast the bridal couple.
3-course wedding reception menu.
Wedding cake prepared by our pastry chefs.
Romantic turn down service for the bridal couple.
Private in-room breakfast for the bridal couple the morning after the wedding.

Deluxe Wedding Package

Our preferred Christian Minister to officiate the ceremony.
Hairdresser and make-up artist for the bride.
Bridal bouquet and boutonniere for the groom
Sole use safari vehicle for the wedding couple and bush photographs after the ceremony.
Canapés and complimentary glass of MCC to toast the bridal couple.
4-course wedding reception menu.
Wedding cake prepared by our pastry chefs.
Romantic turn down service for the bridal couple.
Private in-room breakfast for the bridal couple the morning after the wedding.

While we’re not professional wedding planners; the reservations team is eager to help coordinate and plan your special occasion. And; is experienced in doing so. We’re also happy to work with your own appointed wedding coordinator, should you prefer that.

We work with a carefully selected group of local suppliers who’ll assist with a range of services to meet your requirements. We’re also able to recommend a Minister to preside over your wedding vows.
