June to October (the dry season):
Offers the best time for wildlife viewing and river crossings. Plus the weather is cooler, therefore a lower malaria risk.

January to March (the green season):
This period is lush and the time for calving so you’ll see lots of baby animals. This is also a more affordable time to visit Tanzania.

April to May:
During these months, there is more rain, which can make roads muddy and some of the lodges close.
