Livingstone Island is a venue worth getting married for, and we have just the right wedding package for you! Imagine your wedding ceremony taking place on the very edge of the 300ft Batoka Gorge; where the Zambezi thunders down to create the famous Victoria Falls, a natural wonder of the world. In certain seasons you can even swim in Angel or Devil’s Pool on the very edge of the waterfall.
The island was named in honor of the Scottish explorer Dr. David Livingstone who first viewed Victoria Falls from this island.
Please note a legal ceremony can take place on the island; however there is a surcharge for the transport of officials. Alternatively, the legal ceremony takes place in the town hall. A Zambian wedding is legal and accepted throughout the world; however please remember you will be married under Zambian laws; so it is advisable to do the legalities at home and have a renewal of vows ceremony on Livingstone Island. We only do weddings at Livingstone Island for international guests who are booking their whole travel package with us.
We will take care of all the arrangements; including the legalities required by the registry office for a registered marriage or arranging a priest for the blessing; plus also flowers, menus, cakes, guest gifts, the choir, and other local entertainment; such as a DJ or local dancers. We can cater for small or large groups and can arrange suitable accommodation for all of your guests.
Due to high water levels; Livingstone Island is closed from about the middle of April until the beginning of June each year.
Celebrate your wedding or renew your vows on the very edge of Victoria Falls.
