Dulini Anabezi Camp sits on the banks of the Zambezi River in a secluded corner in the eastern area of Lower Zambezi National Park. Far from the majority of other camps, Anabezi is surrounded by the iconic Winterthorn forest. These winter thorns drop yellow pods which attract a wide variety of animals to the area, including many elephants. A welcome sight in the camp.
The Camp is elevated on a boardwalk at the edge of a ridge. Providing magnificent views of both the Zambezi River and the Mushika River floodplain. The floodplain hosts year round grazing and offers spectacularly diverse game viewing. Even from the comfort of your tent! The boardwalk connects all rooms to two separate decks with swimming pools and a bar. The Mushika Deck and pool are on the far end of the boardwalk next to the family room. The Zambezi Deck includes the main dining area and pool, is in the center of the boardwalk. Equidistant from tents. As the sun sets, guests sit by the campfire with a sundowner and share stories of their sightings with fellow visitors.
To this day, Lower Zambezi remains free from mass tourism with only a select few camps within the park. Making it a truly wild safari destination. Anabezi is an environmentally conscious camp running on 90% solar power.
Pamper yourself in between your safari with one of the luxurious in-room spa treatments.

Anabezi Camp Accommodation
Anabezi Camp has 11 x luxury tents and 1 x luxury family suite. All rooms are connected to the camp’s main areas by a raised wooden boardwalk and offer maximum privacy. Anabezi prioritized sustainability by using ceiling fans instead of air conditioning. Each tent features an indoor en-suite bathroom with Victorian style soaking bathtub. And an outdoor bathroom complete with an outdoor shower. Cool off in your private plunge pool. Then take a moment to relax on your viewing deck while watching buffalo graze and elephants bathe in the river. The luxurious tents are approximately 1000 sq ft in size. Creating a personal haven amidst the Zambian wilderness.
The family tent features two connected rooms, one king with an en suite bathroom and an outdoor bathroom. And one twin room with a private bathroom. Both of which share the same viewing deck and plunge pool. Perfect for parents traveling with children.
Lower Zambezi National Park Safari
The Lower Zambezi National Park is in the Zambezi Valley in Southern Zambia. It is separated from neighboring Zimbabwe by the famous Zambezi River. And a 17,000sq ft conservation area spans the two counties, allowing wildlife to thrive and freely move between. Known for its high density wildlife populations, the park covers approximately 4600 square kilometers of protected wilderness. Lower Zambezi is home to large populations of elephants and buffalo. Along with lions, leopards, hyenas, African painted dogs, hippos, and a variety of game endemic to the area. Plus, over 500 species of birds.
The Lower Zambezi National Park boasts a high density of leopards for its size and is sometimes referred to as the Sabi Sands of Zambia.
Sustainability and conservation
Anabezi was built with sustainability and conservation in mind. As a luxury tented camp, they offer the same modern comforts as a lodge. But with no permanent structures that leave irreversible damage to the environment. The camp runs on 90% solar power. And was built on an elevated boardwalk for minimal impact on the surrounding ecosystem. It also allows for wildlife to roam freely throughout the camp. Anabezi provides guests with reusable water bottles and opt for filtered water. They offer plant-based menu options for guests upon request. Since Anabezi’s establishment, ZAWA* and CLZ* anti-poaching patrols have resumed in the eastern regions of the park. They provide support and back-up patrols to these initiatives and have rebuilt the scout post at Kulefu. Empowering organizations to safely and effectively protect the local wildlife from poaching syndicates.
ZAWA is the Zambia Wildlife Authority
CLZ is Conservation Lower Zambezi – Zambia’s only all-female anti-poaching unit
Zambezi Wildlife Trust
Zambezi Wildlife Trust (ZWT) is Anabezi’s own non-profit. It aims to create concrete solutions for everyday issues faced by the communities in the Chiawa Game Management Area.
Since its implementation in 2018, ZWT has completed multiple projects in the Chiawa GMA. Including the construction of teacher accommodations. Building of water towers. And the creation of a washing station in a central area of the village. In this last example, residents washed their laundry in the river, which created multiple issues. Detergent run off in the Zambezi’s aquatic ecosystem, erosion, and incidents of human-wildlife conflict with hippos and crocodiles. These issues have been almost entirely eradicated. By installing a small, solar-powered water pump in the river that supplies water to the washing station.
ZWT also funds and operates a 24 hour scout unit which responds to calls of human-wildlife conflict. Such as the raiding of crops by elephants and the killing of livestock by predators. By providing a unit to handle these conflicts, residents are no longer forced to take matters into their own hands.
Cuisine
The cuisine at Anabezi is a fusion of European and African, featuring fresh produce and bright flavors. Much of the produce at Anabezi is sourced from local farmers in the Chiawa village just outside the park. Guests can choose between a fresh continental breakfast before the morning game drive. Or a hot full English breakfast on your return if you want a bit of a sleep in. A hot plated lunch is served at the Zambezi Deck. Indulge in an afternoon high tea of home baked treats and fresh fruits before going on the afternoon safari. Dinner is a three course plated affair served with some of South Africa’s finest wines. Once a week, Anabezi offers guests the opportunity to try local Zambian cuisine.
