Zawadi Hotel is a private, intimate boutique getaway beach retreat on the south east coast of Zanzibar. Barefoot luxury at its best. The cuisine is fresh and simple. Only the freshest island produce is used by the chefs to create an authentic Zanzibar experience. Zwadi has its own shamba (farm). There are chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, cows and donkeys. And an organic garden supplying spices, vegetables and eggs. All kitchen leftovers and scraps are given to the animals who in turn provide a naturally composted fertilizer. Zawadi is proud of their efforts to create a sustainably run business where everyone benefits which in turn preserves the beautiful environment of Zanzibar.
There are 12 x private 100sq meter spacious ocean front en suite villas directly overlooking the ocean. The bathroom has a large freestanding bath, a walk in shower and double vanity. They have a seating area, closet area and huge double beds with luxurious memory foam mattresses. Zawadi Hotel is about an hour’s drive from Zanzibar International Airport. Zanzibar airport enjoys daily connections from major East African cities. Such as Kilimanjaro, Arusha, Dar Es Salaam, Nairobi, and Mombasa. Furthermore many international airlines land directly on the island. Making Europe, Asia and North America within relatively easy reach.
The hotel is located approximately 6 kilometers south of Stone Town, the island capital. Transfers can be arranged to and from the airport.
