An ancient trading post on the Spice Trade route, Zanzibar has historically produced some of the most desired spices. Nutmeg, cloves, vanilla, and pepper to name a few. Spices are still grown to this day. It is possible to do a “Spice Tour”, visiting a plantation and learning some of the histories of the trade.
