Madikwe Game Reserve is about 75,000 hectares of bushland stretching up to the Botswana border. It is one of the largest and most popular game reserves in South Africa. Once farmland (up until 1991), the Reserve has been restored to its former natural environment. There are 86 mammals (from mice to elephants), 420 bird species (110 are rare), and 104 tree species. Predominantly grasslands and bushveld, intermingled with lone mountains and rocky outcrops. The Reserve is home to cheetahs, wild dogs, leopards, hyenas, lions, elephants, black & white rhinos, buffalo, zebra, giraffes, and various antelopes.

Little Madikwe Hills consists of a private 2 bedroom villa and two optional additional suites which form a completely private camp. It can therefore accommodate a maximum of 8-9 guests. Little Madikwe Hills Private Camp is the ideal family safari wedding venue. It welcomes children of all ages (the Main Lodge does not cater to children under 10 years).
