Mont Rochelle has a picturesque location at the foot of the Klein Dassenberg Mountain Range in Franschhoek; making it the perfect setting for your destination wedding day. The hotel has 22 rooms and suites accommodating up to 44 x guests in the hotel, and 4 suites accommodating up to 8 x guests in the Manor House. We can host much bigger celebrations by working with nearby hotels and guest houses in Franschhoek to accommodate the rest of your party.

Africa A-Z can arrange a tailored Cape Winelands wedding experience for you and your guests who are staying at the hotel. Most arrangements for up to 30 people can be made in-house. For larger parties, we will match you with a great wedding planner.

Mont Rochelle Wedding Venues

Mont Rochelle caters to those who prefer private, romantic weddings or larger wedding parties. With a range of locations for both ceremonies and your reception. How about a private picnic for two with a bottle of Cap Classique to celebrate? Or, a more formal affair in Miko Restaurant, or both! We will offer suggestions based on the time of the year and your party size.

Menus at Mont Rochelle are tailored to your liking. For smaller parties, a seasonal a la carte menu, braai (BBQ), or a set menu to suit your taste. Reception dinners are usually held in the main restaurant, Miko, or The Country Kitchen.

Some of the venues are included in exclusive use rates, while others have a small cost associated with their hire.

Miko Restaurant:

Miko Restaurant is a stunning location for up to 80 people and those wanting a formal dining location for their wedding reception.

Country Kitchen Restaurant:

The Country Kitchen can be used both as a ceremony site and as a reception area for up to 40 people. In the case of bad weather, the Country Kitchen restaurant area can effortlessly be transformed into a beautifully modern country-style ‘chapel’.

Manor House:

The stunning modern Manor House is ideal as a reception area with its dining room doors folding open to join the courtyard as one big dining area for 30 people.

Vineyard Lounge:

With endless views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards, this is the perfect setting to say ‘I do”. This space can cater to up to 80 people comfortably.

Private Picnic:

A private picnic by the dam is the perfect place to toast the happy couple for smaller, and intimate parties of up to 30 people.

Gazebo:

Perfect for those looking for an outdoor intimate ceremony overlooking the beautiful South African vineyard

Wine Cellar

With its rich history as an 1850s fruit packing shed, the wine cellar can be reimagined into a perfectly intimate setting for up to 10 people.

The Wedding Feast

Depending on the party size we recommend a seasonal à la carte menu, or braai (BBQ). Or create a set menu to suit your taste, in either the main restaurant MIKO, or the Country Kitchen.

When it comes to the entertainment, we are here to help take your event to the next level. We have a wide selection of recommended local musicians, DJs, and many other entertainers to make it truly magical.

The Wedding Details and Planning

For smaller parties, the in-house team will be on hand to ensure every detail is taken care of so you won’t miss out on any of those special touches.
For larger parties, we will recommend a local planner to help with every little detail. We work closely with a handful of planners who we trust and who have years of experience. From the floral decorations to entertainment, photographers, videographers, and venue setup. The experts can take care of it all. We will assist with travel arrangements for your guests so they can see a little more of Africa after the wedding.
