Beach pool villas (58 m²) offer spacious outdoor living with a beachfront veranda and private sun loungers; with a view of the waves crashing on the shore. Rinse off in your tropical outdoor shower or; soak in a bubble bath indoors.

Deluxe Sea View Pool Villa

Deluxe Sea View Pool Villas are perfect for families (250 m²); with two en-suite bedrooms opening onto a central living room. Mozambique Family Holidays

The children’s center has a variety of children’s toys and games; is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. There is a supervisor on duty during the festive season. Children of all ages are welcome, however; children younger than 3 years must be accompanied by a parent or a childminder. Childminding services are available on request at an additional charge.

Kids up to 5 yrs of age sharing with 2 x adults stay for free. From 6 years to 16 years will be subject to a $100 supplement per night.

Please note that due to the nature of the furniture and fixtures in the villas; twin beds can be converted into double beds. However; double beds cannot be converted into twin beds.
A maximum of one extra bed per villa is allowed; the extra bed will either be the existing sofa bed in the Deluxe Sea View Pool Villa or; an extra rollaway bed will be provided subject to availability.

Dolphins, Whales, Dugongs, and Turtles

Spot dolphins dancing in the waves. Look out for humpback whales from August until October, and whale sharks from April to July. Turtles also frequent the waters, and leatherback, loggerhead, and green turtles often come ashore to lay their eggs. Lucky guests may also catch a glimpse of the elusive dugong.

Deep Sea Fishing

If the tide permits, take a 10 minute boat ride to Two Mile Reef; one of the archipelago’s best snorkeling sites.

Dune Boarding

Bazaruto has spectacularly high sand dunes; tempting you to clamber up these towering works of windblown art and board back down at an exhilarating speed. Dune boarding requires very little skill and is appropriate for both children and adults; perfect for a great family holiday.

Spice Spoons

Add new flavors to your culinary repertoire with a richly immersive, ‘step by step’ cooking class. The day begins with a guided tour of the vegetable garden and private orchard of the resort. The chef introduces local ingredients used to create color and spice. Back in the show kitchen, learn traditional methods of preparation for your chosen dishes. There are many dining options to choose from. Whether you looking for freshly baked pastries in the morning; a table for two on a sandbank out in the middle of the ocean. Or champagne and canapés aboard a traditional dhow sailing off into the sunset.

Getting to Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort

Fly to Vilanculos Airport on direct daily flights from Johannesburg. There are also direct flights from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport on certain days. This is ideal for doing a safari first before relaxing on the beach of Bazaruto Island.

From Vilanculos Airport, you can get a road and boat transfer. The duration is between 60 – 70 minutes and is shared with other guests. It departs between 3 and 3.30pm. Please note that there is no jetty as such on the island. Guests will have to wade into the water to reach the boat.

Or; a scenic helicopter transfer. See the Bazaruto Archipelago from the air, landing on the island’s helipad. This is highly recommended.

Let us explain this further. If you take the beach villa rate for the 2026/7 standard season above of $1075 for 2 people. With the 20% discount, this becomes $860. So for 4 nights, the total (including taxes of 16%) is $3440. In addition, a $15 park fee will be added (park fee is subject to change) per person per stay so $3470 with this included for 2 people.
