Thirty four spacious tents are laid out on immaculate grounds, with leisurely groups of warthogs feeding right outside the tent doors. &Beyond Kichwa Tembo has 26 x Superior Tents, and 8 x Superior View Tents. Including 3 family suites. Tents are 6 – 10 m / 20 – 33 ft apart and the camp can sleep 80 people in total.

The spacious (52 m2 / 560 ft2) superior tents feature beautiful Maasai inspired interiors. That showcases a simple and contemporary use of local materials. Oversized beds are perfectly positioned to make the most of the views. While stained cypress wood furniture combines with tribal decorative elements. Indulge in beautifully roomy en suite bathrooms, and private verandas with comfortable day beds.
The superior view tents offer premium panoramic views of the Masai Mara. While the remaining superior tents offer either slightly interrupted views of the Masai Mara or glimpses of the Masai Mara through the shade of the forest (which is excellent for bird lovers). Or picturesque scenes of a nearby escarpment.
All Superior Tents have views, however, the “Superior View Tents” are located on the edge of the Masai Mara. With wide unrestricted views.

Activities Offered at andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Camp (Included)
Game drives in the Masai Mara are unforgettable due to the abundance of wildlife and the spectacular landscapes. With gently rolling hills and wide open plains, this is the quintessential African safari experience. Travelers can expect to encounter large numbers of animals all year round. Big herds of elephants, buffalo, and other plains game. It is also common to see predator interaction. The Great Wildebeest Migration passes through the Mara for approximately three months of the year. Between July and October. Game drives may last a couple of hours to the whole day, with a picnic breakfast and lunch.
The camp also offers a range of additional activities. Such as bush walks, community excursions, a well equipped gym, and wellness treatments in the massage sala.
Your guide will discuss your day with you the night before, confirming all available experiences beforehand. Please note, for added flexibility, a private vehicle must be booked in advance at an additional cost

Savor high tea at the camp before heading out for an optional afternoon experience and/or game drive. OR: • Go on a morning game drive with a pre-packed picnic bush breakfast, tea and coffee. Hot Air Balloon Over the Masai Mara
Experience the beauty of the Masai Mara on a hot air balloon flight. Take off at dawn and float in whichever direction the morning winds take you. Your altitude may vary from treetop height or lower, which offers a unique perspective and great photographic opportunities. To 300 meters (1,000 feet), showcasing the vastness of the panorama. From time to time, the pilot must put more heat into the balloon with the powerful burners. In between these burns, there is silence apart from the natural sounds below.
Dotted in between this lush terrain, you can spot the heads of gentle giraffe foraging from the top of leafy trees. Slumbering elephants swaying in the cool breeze. Graceful gazelles leaping through the vast expanse. And pods of hippos splashing in the water. Look further and you may see prowling predators stalking across the savanna.
The hot air balloon flight lasts about an hour, followed by champagne and a full English breakfast.
