Mauritius Beachcomber Renewal of Vows
Renewal of Vows Packages are the same as the wedding packages; except for the cost of obtaining the legalities. That is the transfer to the supreme court for the wedding couple, legal procedures, and civil status officer’s transportation; to the resort to conduct the wedding.
We have used the South African Rand rates here as we get a lot of wedding couples from South Africa. Also, although the packages are the same, they don’t include the legalities. Or Master of Ceremony for Renewal of Vows. Therefore, we don’t publish our Euro rates. But we do all nationalities. So let us know where you are from and we can quote on the same packages for you.

Beachcomber Mauritius Wedding Package FAQ’s
What is the difference between a Mauritius Destination Wedding Package and Renewal of Vows Ceremony?
Both wedding and Renewal of Vows ceremonies are performed on weekdays only (excluding public holidays).
For a legal wedding, the couple should arrive a minimum of 3 working days prior to the wedding date for the wedding couple to complete all the legalities and paperwork.
The alternative to being legally married in Mauritius is booking a Renewal of Vows Ceremony. With this option the couple needs to be legally married prior to traveling to Mauritius. A copy of the marriage certificate must be handed in at check in. A Renewal of Vows Ceremony is handled by the resort in the same way as a Destination Wedding and a minimum of 2 days is then required prior to the ‘wedding day’ to finalize all of the arrangements.
What are the dinner options for the evening of the wedding? Would a semi-private dinner at one of the restaurants be included in everyone’s package? If we wanted a beach dinner, how much would it cost for our group of 15?
A semi-private dinner in one of the resort’s restaurants is included in the standard package. A private beach BBQ can be arranged for a minimum of 15 people. Prices are available on request. In case of bad weather for the beach dinner, a restaurant will be used which will be semi-private. Alternatively, a marquee or Bedouin tent can be arranged at an additional cost.
Certain restaurants can also be booked on exclusivity at the applicable supplement, subject to final numbers in the wedding party, and subject to hotel operations.
The resort offers an elegant basic setup (tablecloth, crockery & cutlery, glassware, etc) and additional items for the table and decor can be outsourced from an events company in Mauritius.
Brides are welcome to bring their own décor enhancers from home or purchase items locally once in Mauritius. Brides should please send through images of anything specific they would like to source in Mauritius.

How does the evening usually unfold for weddings? After dinner and speeches, is there an area for a first dance, and dancing in general? Would the resort have a DJ and or live shows/music happening that evening?
The ceremony is usually at around 4pm (and lasts about 20 or 30 min). The cutting of the cake takes place after the ceremony.
After the ceremony, guests will enjoy drinks (included in the All-Inclusive Package, if selected) while the bridal couple has photos taken. The reception dinner is usually at 7pm. Speeches and the first dance can take place after the ceremony in the case of a non-private dinner. Or at the dinner with a private dinner.
The couple can choose from the selection of music available at the resort. Or they should bring a USB stick with their preferred songs with them. Entertainment such as a musical trio, Sega dancers, DJ, etc, can only be added in the case of a private dinner. Not all of the resorts allow D.J.’s but they do all permit some form of entertainment. For example: a musical trio, guitarist, etc.
What if we have guests attending who are not staying at the resort?
The resort will charge a non-residents rate for the dinner and drinks package (if the wedding party is on the All-Inclusive Package). Most of the guests would need to stay at the same resort as the bride and groom, and where the wedding is taking place.
Please note: All guests must be booked on the same meal package. We always recommend All-Inclusive as the cost of meals and drinks at all Mauritius hotels is very expensive. They also need to book with us to count towards the free package offer.
