La Pirogue Wedding Package Ideas

Between a romantic boat trip on the crystal clear waters of the lagoon or; a tête-à-tête dinner around the swimming pool of the Restaurant; you will be spoilt for choice in celebrating your wedding in Mauritius. Choose a red carpet affair in the middle of the coconut plantation in a pavilion decorated with flowers. Or, you may prefer the romantic charm of a wedding on the jetty located on the turquoise lagoon. Or, on the dream-like white-sandy beach of La Pirogue. The perfect location to enjoy the beauty of magnificent tropical sunsets.

Whether you envision a traditional reception or a more casual event; you will enjoy personal professional service. All the wedding packages include an in-house wedding celebration specialist to ensure your day runs like a dream. Taking care of every detail down to the photographer and makeup artist.

The Wedding Party Afterwards

Whether your event is small or big we have a variety of unique locations available for your wedding reception. We are also able to host celebrations toasts, cocktail parties, elegant buffet dinners, plated meals, or; lunches/brunch options for up to 150 guests.

La Pirogue Wedding Package

We have three set packages which can be used for legal weddings or renewal of vows. But they can all be customized to your requirements. Please note these packages don’t include the cost for legalities or officiant. These will be added when we quote you. To give you an idea of these costs (all subject to change):

Picturesque ceremony setting, chosen by you.
Personal Celebration Specialist to assist you in planning and coordinating your wedding.
Pressing of bride’s dress & groom’s suit (depending on fabric and design).
Ceremony set-up with two banquet chairs, the signing table, and drapes.
Bridal bouquet of fresh seasonal flowers and groom’s buttonhole.
A single-tier wedding cake for two.
Bottle of sparkling wine to toast.
Pre-recorded romantic music during your ceremony.

Wedding Package Cost: € 995 per couple (South African rate based on fluctuating exchange rate)

The Wedding in the Sun Package also includes the above plus:
Seasonal fruit basket in room upon arrival
Bride’s make-up at the resort’s spa
Photo package of 50 full color (10x15cm) prints presented in an album, with digital copies
Romantic surprise turn down service on the night of the ceremony
Celebration breakfast on a pirogue (local fishing boat) on any morning of your choice by the beach.

Wedding in Paradise Package

Package: € 2000 per couple (South African rate based on fluctuating exchange rate)

This is the most complete package. It includes all the above and for ease we have listed them all here:

Our renewal of vows package is designed to help you proclaim your love surrounded by lush gardens and powdered sandy beaches with an anniversary vacation:

A dedicated Celebration Specialist throughout every step of the wedding planning process.
Standard ceremony set-up including veiled arch two banquets chairs, the signing table and drapes.
Bottle of sparkling wine to toast.
Romantic music during your ceremony.
A romantic beach dinner for the couple with a three-course meal (excluding drinks on half-board and full-board meal plans).
In-room breakfast on the morning of your choice.

A full variety of extras is available for you to either customize your own wedding package. Or to add to the above packages.

Important Information For a Mauritius Wedding at La Pirogue

For legal requirements, see our Mauritius Wedding page. These fees are not included in the package.

As weddings are not done on weekends, for a legal wedding in Mauritius, a minimum 6 working days stay is required in order to do the legalities.

We can arrange a rain backup plan prior to the wedding ceremony; with supplement charges; which will be agreed upon between the wedding coordinator and yourselves
For any outsourced services organized by the guests; e.g Entertainment, photographers, Floral arrangement, etc; a service fee will be applicable

On your arrival at the hotel; find the best places for the wedding ceremony and where to take your photos. We would recommend for larger weddings; prior to your wedding; you visit La Pirogue to understand all the resort has to offer. Meet up with your wedding coordinator; in order to check the documentation and make a final selection of flowers, and cake. Any special product requests are subject to additional fees.

Gift Contribution:
We also offer a gift contribution facility for your family and friends who may want to contribute to your ceremony or honeymoon. Or offer you something else special and available at the hotel.
