Glide along the Chobe River onboard the luxury Zambezi Queen houseboat safari. Choose to do as much or as little as you like. Whether you want to stay on the boat to indulge in massages, swim, or sunbathe on the deck. Or take a tender boat to fish for Tigerfish, visit a local village, or scout the shores for wildlife. This is a great alternative to a normal Chobe National Park safari. Where you sit in open vehicles on sometimes bumpy, dusty roads looking for wildlife. Especially; if you are also visiting other game reserves.
Although Chobe National Park is famous for its huge elephant population of approximately 120,000; there is plentiful other wildlife. In the dry winter months, great concentrations of elephants, buffalos, and zebras congregate along the river. With giraffes, impalas, and roan antelope being seen in the forests. The bird life is diverse, if not overwhelming in its numbers. Waterbirds, including pelicans, are common.

The 2 night departures are on Mondays and Wednesdays and the 3 night departures are on Fridays. Stay for 4 nights starting on a Monday and finishing on a Friday.
Zambezi Queen Houseboat Packages – Two Night Itinerary
Day 1
Guests arriving with the 1 pm or 2 pm transfers will enjoy lunch. While guests being transferred at 3 pm or 4 pm, will enjoy a snack before the sunset cruise by tender boat starts. This is the perfect time of day to make the most of that golden glow of the African sunset. By getting some iconic photographic shots of the animals as they gravitate towards the river before night falls.
Return to the Zambezi Queen. No doubt with a stunning array of photos waiting to be swapped with fellow guests. The Captain will give an official welcome and safety briefing on the upper deck with a welcome drink. The cheerful atmosphere continues. As you make your way to the dining room where a delightful three course dinner is enjoyed. With an excellent choice of paired wines. Retire to the distant night sounds of Africa.

Day 2
Unlike most lodges expecting guests to rise at the crack of dawn; you will have a leisurely start to the day when meeting up for breakfast. Before the morning activities start.
Activities include water based safaris, bird watching, visiting a traditional village on the Namibian side of the river; or fishing. Or stay on the boat to take in the wildlife, indulge in massages, or swim and sunbathe on the deck.
Lunch is enjoyed as the Zambezi Queen makes its way along the Chobe River. The unique vantage point allows for magnificent views. Pick a spot on the deck or in the air-conditioned interior to enjoy. Before the afternoon activities start.
Your afternoon safari on a tender boat allows you to get up close to some of the wildlife on the banks of the river.
Enjoy an African-themed dinner before settling down for a quiet night on the Chobe River.
Day 3
Enjoy a morning cruise during breakfast before bidding our crew a reluctant farewell.

The single supplement is an additional 30% on the above rates. However, single rooms per trip may be limited.
Standard suites 24 and 26 are triple rooms that offer a third single bed for a child or an adult. A 3rd person sharing a triple room will receive a 20% discount on the above rates. Please note that no babysitting services, separate activities, and/or menus are available for children.
