After the stress of planning your wedding, Zimbabwe is the perfect honeymoon destination. The warmth of the people will welcome you and make all that stress melt away. Take in a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi River. Enjoying the animals that come down to the river to drink. Or the hippos wallowing in the river.  The sunsets create the most magical of moments for honeymooners.

That is unless you are an adventure junkie! And you want to make this a heart racing honeymoon that will certainly not be forgotten. Victoria Falls is the adventure capital of Africa, so there are plenty of adrenaline activities available! However, it is ideal for honeymooners who want to relax too.

Victoria Falls is our most popular honeymoon destination in Zimbabwe. It is also a very popular wedding destination.

The best time for a Zimbabwe honeymoon

Your Zimbabwe honeymoon will be great all year so this depends on your primary wants. If you are only going to Victoria Falls (which flows all year on the Zimbabwe side), then to see the Falls in full flood, February to April/May is the best. Don’t forget, you will get very wet and it is difficult to see the Falls through the spray! From May, the waters drop so it is easy to capture the actual Falls and not get too wet! The Falls are at their lowest from around October to January. This is when there is very little water on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. This makes it the best time to visit Angels or Devil’s Pool on the Zambian side. We will arrange transfers for you. This is where you can swim on the very edge of Victoria Falls! It is an amazing experience,

For a Zimbabwe safari honeymoon, the best time to visit is during the dry season as that is when the weather is warm. But particularly, it is easier to find game gathering at the dwindling water supplies. This is typically between May and October. The rains start around November, and then the wildlife has more access to water, so they are more spread out. The rain is usually afternoon thunderstorms that are mostly short-lived, so it won’t put a damper on your honeymoon.

We also have tours for a honeymoon in Zimbabwe (although limited as all tours can be customized for a honeymoon).
