An expression of love, the Bokkie Garden is very close to owner Analjit Singh’s heart. The Afrikaans word ‘bokkie’ means small buck. It is also a term of endearment used by South Africans. Comparable to ‘beloved’ or ‘sweetheart’. Pivotal to the Franchesca Watson-designed garden with its herd of small buck is ‘Reflective Resonance’ by acclaimed sculptor Angus Taylor. It is a powerful piece in bronze and Belfast granite that has become a Franschhoek landmark.
There are 24 contemporary classic, individually styled rooms and suites at Leeu Estates. Filled with customized architectural detailing and tactile textures in a calm color scheme. Child Policy at Leeu Estates
Children are welcome and a cot can be made available in any room. 7 years and younger can be accommodated at no extra cost on a sofa bed in selected rooms. A maximum of two children are permitted per room. Kids aged 8 – 12 sharing a room with two adults will be charged a minimal fee at Leeu Estates. A maximum of one child per room is allowed, accommodated on a sofa bed. Teenagers aged 13 and older, are considered adults and will require their own room. The appropriate cottage or room configuration will be suggested. The normal room rate applies when one child shares with one adult.

Le chêne (The Oak) is in The Manor House at Leeu Estates with exceptional valley, vineyard, and mountain views. Multiple award-winning chef Darren Badenhorst; well-known as the Chef Patron of Le coin Français; oversees the talented culinary team. The restaurant serves French-inspired dishes made from local produce. Both the name and concept of this unique dining experience acknowledge Franschhoek’s history. French Huguenots settled in the valley in the 17th century. Hence the town’s name of Franschhoek. From the Dutch for “French corner”.
Wine Tasting
All curated tastings at each respective venue are presented by dedicated hosts. That will guide guests in the finer nuances of these premium handcrafted wines. Sharing their knowledge of new vintage releases or special Cuvees.
