They say that everything tastes better in the open air and this is even truer when you are enjoying your meal surrounded by wildlife. The Serengeti is fantastic all year for Big Five game viewing opportunities; including big herds of buffalo, leopard sightings, and elephants, and from Klein’s Camp, you also have more exclusive lion sightings. &BEYOND Klein’s Camp Activities
Serengeti Activities and Experiences
Exceptional Game Drives
Klein’s Camp offers game drives twice a day on the concession; with welcome sunrise and sundowner stops. &Beyond’s professionally trained guides will ask you about your favorite wildlife and will do the very best to ensure that your preferences are met, whether it’s tracking a particular species or spending more time enjoying each sighting and getting to know the habits of each animal.
The game drives are carefully planned to anticipate the progress of the Great Migration, so you should not have to travel too far to see the vast herds. However, if the Migration has moved off, or the dramatic river crossings are in progress; you may choose to spend more time on the vehicle; in order to maximize your chances of seeing this incredible phenomenon. When the Migration herds are not within easy reach; game drives set off in search of the exceptional resident game here throughout the year.

Maasai And Cultural Experiences
An adventure to the Serengeti wouldn’t be complete without meeting the enchanting Maasai; in fact, many of the &Beyond Klein’s Camp staff are Maasai, and over 90% of them hail from the surrounding communities. You will get a small taste of Maasai culture on your drives by merely speaking to your guide. Incredibly warm and friendly this lodge inspires interaction and understanding more of this ancient and fascinating culture. For those with a deep interest in the Maasai traditions and ancient way of living; you can visit an authentic boma or take the opportunity to visit a local community, schools, and clinic; in order to understand the real challenges and success of contemporary Maasai life.
Hot air balloon over the Serengeti
Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Serengeti National Park on a ‘once in a lifetime’ hot air balloon flight. At dawn, rise as the sun greets the day and float above the wildlife. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon; sometimes flying at treetop height, sometimes lower, offering a unique perspective and great photographic opportunities of the wildlife below. At other times you will probably ascend higher to see the vast magnificence and spectacular panorama of the Serengeti. At intervals, the pilot will put more heat into the balloon with the powerful whisper burners. In between these burns, there is a tranquil silence apart from the natural sounds below.
A Serengeti balloon safari is an extraordinary opportunity to relish a bird’s eye view of the phenomenal sweeping plains below. Tiny little dots rove across the diverse landscape and as you get closer; you are a spectator to the most magnificent view of dramatically striped black and white zebra, sashaying enormous grey elephants meandering to a waterhole, wiry warthogs foraging in the grassy scrub and subtle swishes of puffed golden tails reveal lions lolling under shady trees.
