Chobe Safari Lodge is a hotel in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River, directly on the border of Chobe National Park. It offers a wide range of activities in the Chobe National Park and beyond. Right on their doorstep of four countries meeting (Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Zambia). Therefore, it offers an excellent location to explore Chobe, Victoria Falls, and the Kaza region (ex-Caprivi).
It is easily accessible as it is near Victoria Falls, Livingstone, and Kasane International Airport. Daily road transfers or charter flights connect all these airports with the lodge. Charter flights are also available to the Okavango Delta and other regions of Botswana.
It offers awesome Chobe accommodation and an excellent family-friendly and group choice. There has been a major upgrade to Chobe Safari Lodge, and it now incorporates Chobe Bush Lodge in a Chobe Village.
As part of the expansive upgrades, Chobe Safari Lodge has seriously invested in sustainability. In a Botswana first, they’ve shored up the river banks against ongoing erosion from passing boats and planted well over 200 trees across the Lodge. There is also an on-site bakery and a bottling plant. Meaning less plastic, fewer food miles, and more freshness on your plate. Sustainability never tasted this good!

Chobe Safari Lodge Village Accommodation:
With lots of new additions, and the last of the rooms only being completed in September 2025, we are still updating this.
Luxury Rooms
The Chobe Safari Lodge has clusters of luxury rooms and suites spread out across the large property, giving the spacious and uncrowded feel of smaller boutique lodges that share the same world-class facilities.
The Luxury Rooms comprise 46 x Safari Rooms, 15 x River Rooms, and 8 x Rondavels that have beautiful Chobe River views. The 38 x Bush Rooms are set back from the river overlooking a waterhole and into the Chobe National Park.
All rooms are available in King or Twin configuration. Each room has a private balcony area, a writing desk, coffee and tea making facilities, two bottles of complimentary water each day, a minibar fridge, complimentary Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and ceiling fans, and a multitude of charging options and points for phones, cameras, tablets and laptops as well as sleep aides.
The ensuite bathrooms are all generous in size, with water-saving fixtures, rain showers, plenty of lighting, and ample counter space for your travel amenities. In addition, the Safari Rooms and Bush Rooms have bathtubs.
Varied, flexible, and recently renovated to the same standard, these rooms are perfect for couples, friends, families, and groups of all sizes.
Suites
The generous suites (four Bush Suites and two River Suites) are ideal for honeymooners or couples. The suites enjoy the same great amenities as the luxury rooms, but with more space and an additional bathroom. The minibar comes with a complimentary initial stocking of 2x beers, 4x soft drinks, and a 187ml bottle of red and white wine.
Explorer Suites
Opening in September 2025 are the two Explorer Suites. Representing Chobe Safari Lodge’s most luxurious accommodation. Each two-bedroom duplex comprises a generous lounge and balcony area for relaxing or entertaining guests (with a separate guest toilet). The river-facing master bedroom has a private balcony and an ensuite bathroom that includes a bathtub. While the second room is ensuite (shower only) and configured into a twin or king bed. The minibar (with the same contents as the Suites) is refreshed daily on a complimentary basis.
These units can accommodate 4 adults or 2 adults and up to 3 children (depending on age).

A 30 minute head and shoulder treatment is an included activity in the 2026/7 rates. Other treatments can be booked and paid for separately.
Activities / Game Viewing:
Along with many species of big game, Chobe National Park boasts the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. Game drives and boat cruises offer visitors the opportunity to witness this amazing spectacle.
Water Activities
People come to Chobe for the magnificent river that teems with wildlife. Offering fantastic sightings of elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and buffalo. To name a few. All activities depart directly from the Lodge.
Sunset Safari Cruise into the Chobe National Park
The iconic Chobe River activity. Enjoy a sundowner safari cruise on the Chobe River. The spacious double-decker boats will treat you to some of Africa’s best and most up-close game viewing. Chobe Safari Lodge is the closest Kasane accommodation to the Chobe National Park and sits right beside the park office. This means you’ll often be the first on the water to enjoy the afternoon wildlife congregations.
The expertly guided riverboat cruise gently navigates these lively waters to catch the hippos that leave the water to feed during the day. Witness the large herds of buffalo, and pause for elephants crossing. Our favourite has to be when they comically use their trunks as a snorkel!
Private Chobe Boat Safari
Hire a private boat for a tailor-made river voyage curated towards your interests, such as birdwatching.
Chobe Fishing
Any fisherman worth their rod wants to catch a legendary African tigerfish. Enjoy a 2-hour fishing excursion throughout the day on the Chobe River. Or, half or full day fishing trips up the Kasai Channel of the Zambezi River (in Namibia). On an ethical catch-and-release policy.

Photographic Boat
Get the perfect picture. Drift along the legendary Chobe River aboard a low angle boat with 360 degree revolving chairs & adjustable gimble rig swivels. Perfect for capturing birds in flight, big game up close, and those magical Chobe sunsets. Cameras can be hired.
