Jock Safari Lodge is nestled where the Mitomeni and Biyamiti rivers flow as one. Situated in the southwestern corner of the Kruger National Park. The main area has indoor and outdoor dining areas, a gift boutique, a library with television and DVD player. In addition, there is a heated swimming pool, a relaxation retreat with sauna and exercise room. There is complimentary Wi-Fi in the main areas of the lodge.
Main Jock Lodge has twelve individual thatched air-conditioned suites, screened by lush trees & reed walls. Offering a secluded paradise overlooking the serene riverbeds. Each suite leads onto a private deck with a private plunge pool and a sala with an outdoor day bed. This offers guests exclusive sleep out options while drifting off to the soundtrack of the nightlife of the bush.

Fitzpatrick’s At Jock
Fitzpatrick’s At Jock offers the ultimate private villa experience. There is a King / Twin bedded Luxury Room that can sleep a maximum of 2 x adults sharing with 2 x children aged 11 years and younger. And a two bedroom Family Unit consists of 2 x suites. Each room has it’s own bathroom facilities and entrance leading off a communal foyer. The family unit can sleep a maximum of 4 x adults and 2 x children aged 11 years and younger. All sharing a private deck and plunge pool. Perfect for small groups and families on an exclusive use basis.

Jock Safari Lodge is drenched in historical significance. The living legacy of world renowned South African author and explorer Sir Percy FitzPatrick. Game Drives
Enjoy morning and evening game drives in 4 x 4 Land Cruisers with a roof. With highly experienced rangers. Finding enthralling sightings of elephants, and prides of lions. As well as a sea of buffalo. Just to name a few of the species.
Sundowners are enjoyed on the evening game drives. En route back to the lodge, spot nocturnal animals such as leopard, hyena and lion. Sighting the Big Five has become something of a quest for many people when on safari. And the Kruger National Park has an estimated 1,700 lion, 15,000 elephants, 25,000 buffalo and 1,000 leopards.

Leopard Creek Golf Club
Jock Safari Lodge offers all golfers free transfers to Leopard Creek Golf Club. Just outside the Malelane Gate of the Kruger National Park. All transfers are done on a game viewing vehicle so your transfer is a game drive in itself. Golfing hazards take on a new dimension at Leopard Creek. For much of the water is home to the magnificent creatures after whom the river is named, crocodiles. Golfers can also look forward to the sightings of crocodile, hippo and antelope. As well as buffalo and elephant in the Kruger which borders the course.

Bird Watching
There are abundant species of bird on the concession for the avid birdwatcher. Including raptors such as the Martial, Tawny and Fish Eagles as well as Steppe Buzzards. The tranquil atmosphere at the Lodge allows for unique birding opportunities. A wide variety of Bushveld Birds are spotted from the comfort of one’s room. Or whilst lying next to the Rock Pool. Most commonly seen are Hornbills, Starlings, Boubou’s, Shrikes and Woodpeckers to name but a few.

Protecting Vulnerable Species
Jock Safari Lodge practices regular involvement with numerous conservation and research projects specialized for rare and endangered species. These species include the black and white rhino, lion, African wild dog, Marshall eagle, and the ground hornbill.
Kruger Family Safari
Children up to and including 5 years are permitted at Fitzpatrick’s at Jock ONLY. They are accommodated on a complimentary basis when sharing a room with adults. While children from 6 up to 11 years old, pay 50% of the adult sharing rate when sharing a room with adults. Dependent on the availability of cots and/or additional bed.

A private vehicle will need to reserved for sole use of the family. The daily surcharge per day will be applicable for private vehicle use.
Additional beds can accommodate a maximum of one child each. OR two children in a bunk bed (11 years or younger)
Eco-Explorers / Kids Activities at Fitzpatrick’s at Jock
Upon arrival the host and/or ranger will discuss activity options with the family. Taking in the family’s size, children’s ages and the weather into consideration. Each child will receive a gift pack containing small gifts. Most of which they can use during their stay at Fitzpatrick’s at Jock. Children’s activities include play dough sessions, mini Chef’s arts and crafts. Puzzles of varying sizes and difficulties. A selection of entertaining, educational children’s books or a selection of fun board games.
Children ages 5 years and younger are restricted to drives within the Jock concession. Children aged 6 years and older can go on regular game drives. Complimentary child minding is offered during game drive hours. Additional child minding can be secured at an additional cost outside of these times.

Where is Jock Safari Lodge?
Jock Safari Lodge is half way between Skukuza and Malelane gates. Approximately 35 km in both directions with only 3 km of dirt road. Because it is inside Kruger National Park, guests must be at the lodge by the time the gate’s close.
The best way to get to Jock Safari Lodge is to fly into Skukuza Airport. There are flights to Skukuza from Johannesburg or Cape Town. From there, its a short 1 hour game drive safari road transfer. Alternatively, guests can fly to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA or MQP). KMIA is 2 hours from the lodge. This airport is great for people that are connecting to flights to/from Victoria Falls/Livingstone. And Vilanculos in Mozambique.
