The Best of Desert and Delta Safari (BODDS for short) are flexible packages that can include Chobe, Okavango Delta and Makgadikgadi Pans. It is one of the most straightforward, ‘value for money’ ways to book Botswana. Mix and match camps in the portfolio for seamless travel. Choose from 2 to 5 of the Desert and Delta safari camps or lodges. They include flights, accommodation, activities, meals and drinks.

Experience the very best of Botswana on a six night safari in three Desert & Delta Safaris lodges. This safari package incorporates Moremi Game Reserve, Okavango Delta and the Savute region of Chobe National Park.
Your journey begins in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve for a chance to witness the diversity of wildlife that calls the Okavango Delta home. From Moremi, a short light aircraft takes you to the heart of the Okavango Delta to Xugana Island Lodge where you will enjoy daily bush walks, mokoro excursions and boating safaris as you learn more about the intricacies of the Okavango Delta. Your final stop is two nights in the Savute region of the Chobe National Park at the luxurious Savute Safari Lodge. Savute is one of Botswana’s prime game viewing destinations and home to the infamous marsh and northern lion prides.
Day 1 & 2:
On arrival at the Maun airport, you will be met by a representative from Desert & Delta Safaris who will assist you with boarding your light aircraft transfer to Camp Moremi. Your light aircraft flight will offer you an introduction to the Okavango Delta as you witness the vastness of the world heritage site from the air. Landing at the Moremi airstrip, your guide will meet you and transfer you by road to Camp Moremi where you can settle into your luxurious room. You will spend the next two nights at Camp Moremi enjoying game drives and boating excursions as you search for the prolific wildlife that inhabits the Moremi Game Reserve.

Day 3 & 4:
Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Moremi Game Reserve before your light aircraft transfer to Xugana Island Lodge. A remote lodge on a private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Spend the next two nights exploring the intricacies of the Okavango Delta from a variety of activities including mokoro excursions, boating safaris, guided bush walks, game drives as well as night drives. For those keen on fishing, optional fishing excursions are available in season.

Day 5 & 6:
After a last morning activity in the delta, depart Xugana Island Lodge and make your way by light aircraft to your final stop – Savute Safari Lodge. Your safari ends with two nights exploring the Savute region of the Chobe National Park. Known as one of the best game viewing destinations in Botswana, your focus will be on daily game drives along the Savute channel and through the Savute Marsh in search of those memorable wildlife sightings. Your safari ends on day 7 with a final morning game drive followed by a light aircraft transfer to Maun. If you are departing Botswana on a regional flight, your light aircraft transfer will have you back in Maun in time for your flight.

Your journey begins with two nights at Chobe Game Lodge on the banks of the Chobe River. A short light aircraft transfer will take you into the heart of the Okavango Delta. Where you will enjoy three wonderful nights exploring with Xugana Island Lodge. Your final stop will be the Moremi Game Reserve. For your chance to enjoy the exceptional wildlife encounters with Camp Moremi.
Day 1 – 3
On arrival at the Kasane Airport, you will be met by a guide and transferred by road into the Chobe National Park to Chobe Game Lodge. Here you will spend two nights while enjoying the beautiful location on the edge of the Chobe River. With all activities included in your stay, you can enjoy a guided game drive through the Chobe National Park or a river safari for your chance to enjoy the excellent wildlife sightings from the water.

Day 3 – 6
Departing Chobe Game Lodge, you will transfer back to the Kasane airport for your light aircraft transfer into the Okavango Delta. Here you will spend three nights at the classic Xugana Island Lodge. Ideally set on the edge of a deep water lagoon offering the best views of the Okavango Delta imaginable. Xugana Island Lodge offers a variety of safari activities. Including mokoro excursions, motorboat safaris, guided bush walks, day and night game drives, and optional helicopter flights.
Day 6 – 9
The final stay on your safari is the Moremi Game Reserve. Spending three nights at Camp Moremi, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the exceptional wildlife encounters for which the Moremi Game Reserve is known. Camp Moremi is a beautifully luxurious tented camp offering you a world class safari in the heart of Botswana’s top wildlife destination.

Guests staying three nights or more at Leroo La Tau: a complimentary Makgadikgadi Pans Sleep-Out experience may be requested & booked from 15th June to 31st October. Alternatively, a Nxai Pan day trip (all year round). Private sleep-outs are available on request and subject to a surcharge (max 6 guests).
Sleep-Outs at Leroo La Tau and Camp Okavango are subject to availability and must be booked at the time of reservation.
FREE helicopter scenic flight applies only to BODDS 10 or more nights where Camp Okavango or Xugana Island Lodge are included in the package.
NOTES:
Chobe Game Lodge cannot be included in the middle of a package itinerary.
BODDS package itineraries must run consecutively.
BODDS packages are based on Maun/Maun (MM), Maun/Kasane (MK.), or Kasane/ Kasane (KK) routing. However, properties with airstrips within Zone 1 (ask us for more info) can be included at the beginning or end of a BODDS package at no additional charge (excluding applicable landing fees).
Should additional nights be added to the BODDS 10-night package, this can be done at the long stay rates with the added flights where necessary.
Children do not get a discount on the above rates – see Ultimate Family Safari Packages.
When booking packages across different rate seasons, the applicable seasonal rates will be charged based on the number of nights that fall into the respective seasons. We’ll give you an accurate quote based on your dates.
