These Kwando Botswana Safari Packages focus on the Okavango Delta. With the Ultimate Botswana Package including either Nxai Pan or Tau Pan. Kwando camps have a reputation for being positioned in some of the best areas. Therefore they offer excellent safaris. All the Kwando Okavango Delta camps are excellent for birding.

The Kwando Concession is a year round safari destination. It is particularly well known for wild dogs. Although all three big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) are also found here. Plus from June/ July onwards, more game moves into the Kwando Concession in order to access the waters of the Kwando River as the areas to the south and west dry out. You will encounter large wildebeest and zebra herds from June to November.

The Dinare Camps (Mma & Rra) border the Moremi Game Reserve so also have some of the best game viewing in the Okavango Delta.

Lebala Camp (Kwando Private Reserve): Seasonal boating**

Rra or Mma Dinare Camps (Santawani Private Reserve): Seasonal mokoro**
Pom Pom (Pom Pom Private Reserve): Seasonal mokoro/boating**, and fishing*
4 Rivers (Kwara Private Reserve): Maboa Island walking safaris, seasonal mokoro**
Splash Camp (Kwara Private Reserve): Boating all year and fishing*

*Fishing is permitted in Botswana between March and December. No fishing at Mma or Rra Dinare.
**At these camps, boating and mokoro are dependent on water levels – usually from April/May to October/November
No Mokoro at Lebala or Lagoon Camps.

5 Night Authentic Adventure Botswana Tour Package

Find endless adventure at these classic camps. Drift through Okavango Delta waterways on a beautiful boat transfer and gaze at big cats during off-road game drives in private concessions. Spend 2 nights at either of the Dinare Camps or Pom Pom. Followed by 3 nights at 4 Rivers or Splash Camps.

Day 1 and 2:

Your safari adventure begins with a 20 minute light aircraft flight from Maun to Pom Pom or the Dinare camps. If you need to start in Kasane, the flight will take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Taking in the magnificence of the winding, papyrus-fringed channels that make up one of the world’s greatest wetland wonders. You will be able to see some of Africa’s most celebrated animals from a bird’s eye view.

The Dinare Camps are in a private concession adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve. Allowing for on & off-road game drives with only 6 people per vehicle. On night game drives, you have a driver & a tracker.

The Pom Pom Private Concession (NG27A), is west of the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp overlooks the lily-strewn Pom Pom Lagoon at the headwaters of the Xudum River system. Leopards particularly enjoy the woodland habitats.

Spend 2 nights at Mma or Rra Dinare, or Pom Pom on a fully inclusive basis.

Day 3 and 4:

Road transfer to Xakanaxa + boat transfer to 4 Rivers or Splash OR **Flight Dinare or Pom Pom to 4 Rivers or Splash.

4 Rivers enjoys exclusive use of the western side of the renowned Kwara Private Concession. The camp is in an ancient woodland and looks across a permanent small lagoon to Maboa Island.

Spend 3 nights at 4 Rivers, or Splash on a fully inclusive basis.

*Elephant Havens is Botswana’s only elephant orphanage. They are making strides toward the preservation of the African elephant by rescuing orphaned and abandoned elephants, reducing human-elephant conflict, and protecting wild habitats from human encroachment.
