Adjacent to Moremi Game reserve; Mma and Rra Dinare Camps are located in a private concession of 67 000 acres. Embracing the natural surroundings of the riverine forest, the views of the classic flooding of the Okavango across the adjacent seasonal floodplains are spectacular.
The airstrip is approximately 20 minutes by chartered flight from Maun and 1h20 minutes from Kasane. The camps are a 45-minute game drive from the airstrip.
Rra Dinare Camp (meaning Father Buffalo) Accommodation consists of 8 x stylish tents, including a family tent, all of which overlook the Gomoti River floodplains.

Both camps offer spacious tents; 60m2 excluding an outdoor deck in front. They consist of a private lounge area with spacious interiors, and en suite bathrooms. The camps are 100% Eco-friendly, featuring the latest in solar and waste technology.
Both central areas are open, thatched spaces that allow guests to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Whilst watching wildlife and birds from the comfort of an armchair or the bar. The swimming pool and curio shop at each camp complete the luxurious, relaxed feel.
Botswana Family Safaris
Dinare Camps Child policy:
Minimum age 6 years. (Children younger than 6 are only accepted when reserving the entire camp for exclusive use). When the child reaches 16 years, the full adult rates apply. A private vehicle is required for families with children under 12 Children have to be at least 12 years of age to take part in walking safaris Children’s Rates are only valid when the Family Room* is booked. Maximum of 2 children at a reduced rate per night. Guests under the age of 18 years are not allowed to stay in their own rooms.
Dinare Camps Child Rates
*There is 1 x family room at both Mma and Rra Dinare Camps. The layout of the family room comprises 2 x sleeping rooms (the second of which is smaller) and one shared bathroom. They are booked on a first come first serve basis. And are always prioritized for families with children under the age of 18. They are not for adult triple / quad rooms.
There is one “floating” extra bed in the camp. This can be used in the family room for 2 x adults and 3 x children. OR, if the family room is occupied by 4 persons, this extra bed can be utilized in a standard room/tent to form one triple (2 x adults and 1 x child). Only one triple can be booked (2 x adults and 1 x child) on any given night (in addition to the family room). This will otherwise be exceeding the permitted limit of the concession.
Activities:
Game drives (day & night) are in a private concession adjacent to Moremi Game reserve. On & off-road. There are only 6 people per vehicle with a driver & a tracker on night game drives. Seasonal water activities (mokoro) on the Gomoti River and game walks are available depending on local conditions.
Since this area normally receives floods last; it contains some of the closest dry season watering points for the game that spreads out towards Nxai and Makgadikgadi Pans during the rains. There is a high density of wildlife in the dry season. Game viewing is excellent since quite a lot of the reserve is mopane woodlands; which is a favorite for animals. All year round.
The Gomoti river system attracts a wide variety of wildlife. Familiar favorites include Elephant, Buffalo, Giraffe, Kudu, Impala, Tsessebe, Hippo, Crocodile, Genet, and Honey Badger. And a host of Plains Game. Rare Antelope breeds including Roan, Sable & Eland; are not normally seen in the Okavango region. As the Gomoti is the main water source in the area, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and wild dogs come down to the riverside to drink. And hunt, of course!
For those keen on bird watching, the combination of the wetlands and the drier Acacia and Mopane veld provides a perfect habitat for a variety of aquatic species. Some of these are Open Billed Storks, Hammerkops, Egrets, Ibis. And forest / savannah dwellers including Raptors, Shrikes, Drongos, Sunbirds, Ground Hornbills, and so on.

The 5 Rivers Safari runs from 15th November to 31st of March every year. This is a very special time to visit Botswana as it is a time of plenty. Mammals are healthy, and many species bring their young into the world. The bush is emerald green in color with an abundance of flora and large flocks of migrant bird species. This makes it especially good for photographers.
A minimum of 3 nights at one camp or 4 nights at any 2 camps/lodges All flying into and out of camps/lodges MUST be with Moremi Air.
