These Kwando Botswana Safari Packages focus on the Okavango Delta. With the Ultimate Botswana Package including either Nxai Pan or Tau Pan. Kwando camps have a reputation for being positioned in some of the best areas. Therefore they offer excellent safaris. The Kwando Concession is a year round safari destination. It is particularly well known for wild dogs. Although all three big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) are also found here. Plus from June/ July onwards, more game moves into the Kwando Concession in order to access the waters of the Kwando River as the areas to the south and west dry out. You will encounter large wildebeest and zebra herds from June to November.
The Dinare Camps (Mma & Rra) border the Moremi Game Reserve so also have some of the best game viewing in the Okavango Delta.
All activities are hosted by Kwando’s iconic guide and tracker teams. Departure times and the duration are tailored to the season, sightings, and guest interests. Please note a Christmas Surcharge applies to all packages. Please send us your dates so we can advise the cost.

Day 1 and 2:
Your safari adventure begins with a 20 minute light aircraft flight from Maun to Pom Pom or the Dinare camps. If you need to start in Kasane, the flight will take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Taking in the magnificence of the winding, papyrus fringed channels that make up one of the world’s greatest wetland wonders. You will be able to see some of Africa’s most celebrated animals from a bird’s eye view.
The Dinare Camps are in a private concession adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve. Allowing for on & off-road game drives with only 6 people per vehicle. On night game drives, you have a driver & a tracker.
The Pom Pom Private Concession (NG27A), is west of the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp overlooks the lily-strewn Pom Pom Lagoon at the headwaters of the Xudum River system. Leopards particularly enjoy the woodland habitats.
Spend 2 nights at Mma or Rra Dinare, or Pom Pom on a fully inclusive basis.

Road transfer to Xakanaxa + boat transfer to 4 Rivers or Splash OR **Flight Dinare or Pom Pom to 4 Rivers or Splash.
4 Rivers enjoys exclusive use of the western side of the renowned Kwara Private Concession. The camp is in an ancient woodland and looks across a permanent small lagoon to Maboa Island.

When is the best time to visit Kwando for predator sightings?
While wildlife is present year round, the Dry Season (June to October) is legendary for predator-prey interaction. As water sources shrink, large herds of buffalo and elephant congregate near the Kwando River, followed closely by lions, leopards, and the famous Lagoon wild dog packs.
What are the luggage restrictions for the bush flights?
Since you will be traveling via light aircraft (typically Moremi Air or Mack Air), there is a strict 20kg (44lbs) limit per person. This must include your hand luggage and camera equipment.
Crucial: Bags must be soft sided (duffel style) with no hard frames or wheels to fit into the small aircraft luggage pods.
Are Kwando camps family-friendly?
Most Kwando camps, such as Lagoon, Lebala, and Splash, warmly welcome families. However, please note that Kwara Camp maintains a minimum age of 18 to preserve its quiet, intimate atmosphere. For families with children under 12, we often recommend booking a private vehicle for a more flexible safari experience.
Is there Wi-Fi or cell service in the camps?
To ensure a true “unplugged” wilderness experience, there is no cell reception in these remote concessions. However, limited Wi-Fi is typically available in the guest rooms (not the main areas) at most camps like Kwara and Splash for basic messaging and emails.
Can I combine a Kwando Safari with Victoria Falls?
Absolutely. Most of our guests choose to start or end their Botswana circuit with a 2 or 3 night stay in Victoria Falls. We can easily arrange a light aircraft transfer from the Kwando camps directly to Kasane for your onward road transfer to the Falls.
