Ngoma Safari Lodge offers accommodation at a small boutique lodge. It offers unrivaled panoramic views over the game rich floodplains and the Chobe River. All suites are river facing with a private plunge pool.
Situated in Northern Botswana; Ngoma Safari Lodge is within the Chobe Forest Reserve. Which borders the western edge of Chobe National Park. It is 55 kilometers away from Kasane town / airport (about a 45 minute drive). It is easy to add to a stay at Victoria Falls or Livingstone which are about a 3 hour drive away.
Ngoma Safari Lodge is away from the busy Kasane town where many large hotels and lodges are. Therefore, creating an authentic feeling of intimacy and privacy. Furthermore; both walking and night drives are permitted here. Unlike in the Chobe National Park itself.
Lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant are seen very often. While hippo, crocodile, giraffe, sable, and roan antelope also call the Chobe Forest Reserve home. The floodplain also attracts large migratory herds of zebra that follow a 300 mile round trip between the Angola basin and Chobe. Making it; in fact; the longest terrestrial migration route in Africa.
Bird lovers are spoiled for choice when it comes to bird watching in Chobe National Park and Forest Reserve.
The development of the lodge was a joint community and privately funded project. In association with the Chobe Enclave Conservation Trust (CECT). Through its socially responsible efforts; the lodge enriches the lives of those living within this community. Directly from a land lease fee and bed levy. As well as employment. Its design is focused on best environmental practices. Ensuring a reduced carbon footprint; wherever possible.
Ngoma Safari Lodge is an intimate accommodation option located in a private oasis. Made from local materials and designed to blend into the natural surroundings. Generously spaced suites offer guests privacy, luxury, and panoramic views.
The lodge sits on the edge of a plateau overlooking the Chobe floodplain. The Lodge’s central guest areas are a reception, dining area, bar, swimming pool, sundeck, and viewing platform. There is wifi at the main lodge and in each room.

Ngoma Safari Lodge is adding to it’s accommodation offering with two new Ngoma Suites (perfect getaway for families and friends) and doing some upgrades to existing suites. We will provide more info once it reopens at the end of March 2026.
The 8 x existing thatched river facing suites have spacious internal and external living areas. The en-suite bathrooms feature a bath and shower. There is also an outside shower. Overhead fans and air conditioning keep you cool. There are minibars, plus tea, and coffee facilities; including a Nespresso machine. Also; each suite has a private plunge pool; conveniently located in the outdoor living area. All the rooms have three quarter beds / king size beds.
All the suites have large bay windows to provide 180-degree views of the river and floodplain below. This offers the opportunity to see the famous Chobe elephants, migrating zebra, or buffalo grazing on the floodplain below.

Family safari accommodation:
Two of the eight suites also have sofa beds. These can be used as triple rooms for children between 10 and 11 years old.
