So, it’s great because there is almost no chance of rain but the Okavango Delta water levels are higher. This means you can usually do romantic mokoro excursions and boating. Weather:
The weather is generally pleasant with clear blue skies. The days are warm, but the mornings and evenings can be cool or even cold, especially in June and July. By September and October, temperatures can get very hot.
Considerations: This is the high season, so it’s more expensive. You’ll need to book well in advance.
The green season is when the rain arrives and the Okavango Delta water levels subside. It is the best time for bird watching as the migratory birds arrive. It is also when when many animals give birth, so you’ll see a lot of young wildlife.
