Overlooking Chiefs Island, bordering Moremi Game Reserve, Gunn’s Camp is one of the last few remaining luxury vintage safari camps to stay in the Okavango Delta, Botswana.
Set under leafy palms and African Ebony, to blend naturally with its unique surroundings; Gunn’s Camp achieves a fine balance of comfort without isolating guests from the sights and sounds of the wilderness. Your African experience starts with a twenty-minute light aircraft transfer from Maun; over the southwestern Delta; taking in the magnificence of the winding, papyrus-fringed channels that make up one of the world’s greatest wetland wonders. You will be able to see some of Africa’s most celebrated animals from a bird’s eye view. On arrival at the private airstrip on Ntswi Island, deep in the Okavango Delta; you will be met by welcoming hosts and shown to the Camp.
Gunn’s Camp is set on raised platforms overlooking the delta plains; consisting of seven fully furnished, deluxe Kenya-style Meru tents with en suite bathrooms. The honeymoon suite is built into one of the ancient African Ebony trees; and demands unsurpassed views of the meandering waterways. The island is connected to the main camp by a small causeway crossing the wetlands and lit by a series of fairy-like lanterns. Guests have access to the elevated bar, lounge and dining room, campfire boma, and swimming pool.

Activities
Activities are mokoro excursions and guided game walks on Chief’s Island; just across the Boro River that separates it from Ntswi Island. One guide is allocated to two guests. The guide then transports you in his mokoro to various sections of the game reserve; where you commence your walk. Guides converse in English and point out not only the big game but also bird and plant life. Guests can learn anything from plants and their medicinal uses to birds and their calls. It is an amazing way to experience the delta and many guests leave appreciating the smaller life as opposed to just the normal big five!

A festive season surcharge applies per person sharing per night between the 20th of December 2023 and the 4th of January 2024 inclusive of USD 125. From 20th of December 2024 and the 4th of January 2025, it is USD 150.
Botswana Family Safaris
Gunn’s Camp Child policy:
The minimum age at Gunn’s Camp is 12 years. Children younger than 12 are only accepted when reserving the entire camp for exclusive use. Families with kids under the age of 12 years can be booked into Moremi Crossing, in the same concession When the child reaches 16 years, the full adult rates apply. Kids under the age of 18 years must share a room with an adult.
There is one “floating” extra bed in the camp. Only one triple (2 x adults and a child) can be booked on any given night. We will otherwise be exceeding the permitted limit of the concession.
Gunn’s Camp rates include: Accommodation with all meals and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) All activities Daily laundry Emergency medical evacuation cover (all guests must have their own travel and health insurance). If transfers are with Moremi Air; meet and greet in and out of Maun airport.

Five Rivers Safari Offer
The 5 Rivers Safari runs from 15th November to 31st of March every year. This is a very special time to visit Botswana as it is a time of plenty. Mammals are healthy, and many species bring their young into the world. The bush is emerald green in color with an abundance of flora and large flocks of migrant bird species. This makes it especially good for photographers.
A minimum of 3 nights at one camp or 4 nights at any 2 camps/lodges All flying into and out of camps/lodges MUST be with Moremi Air.

Repeat Kwando Guest Special:
5% discount – only for the guests who have stayed before (not applicable for new travelers in the same booking with repeat guests). The camps and date of stay need to be provided for verification purposes. Not valid in conjunction with any other Kwando Camps special.
Waiver Of Single Supplement
The single supplement will be wavered in all seasons except high season when a single person is staying at Gunn’s Camp for 4 nights or more.
Last minute rates
Book to travel within 30 days and receive a discounted rate between 1st May – 14th November. Due to the nature of the late booking, rooms are very limited.

Based on per person sharing rates we can offer the following for honeymoon couples: 50% discount for one adult’s accommodation
