4 Rivers is Kwando Safaris newest camp in the Okavango Delta. It enjoys exclusive use of the western side of the renowned Kwara Private Concession. In days gone by, explorers whispered of these fabled floodplains. Which teem with plains game. And the predators that stalk them.
This is the great unexplored. A wild and isolated wilderness with stunning biodiversity, a confluence of waterways, open plains, forested islands, and Mopane woodlands. Home to African wild dogs, lions, elephants, leopards, sable antelope and more.
With no other safari camps having access to the area, you won’t be seeing many other vehicles so it provides an exclusive experience. The camp is a short 15 minute drive from its own private airstrip.
The main communal area includes a bar, dining room, curio shop and a selection of smaller lounge areas. Allowing you to enjoy the peace of the Delta. There is also be a swimming pool to cool down in the warmer months. The camp is run completely on solar power with the highest of Eco standards.
Like other Kwando properties, Kwara offers a digital detox experience (no WiFi or cell phone connectivity) allowing its guests to truly enjoy and embrace the natural setting of the camp. All activities are be accompanied by a guide and tracker. The 9 seater vehicles take a maximum of 6 guests.
Kwando 4 Rivers Camp Accommodation
Sitting on raised wooden decks, the camp has 9 x large Meru tents including a family room. The family tent has a smaller second bedroom with it’s own en-suite bathroom for families (see below for family policies). Children are welcome from the age of 6 years old.
Tucked away in ancient woodland, 4 Rivers looks across a permanent small lagoon to Maboa Island. All the tents have indoor and outdoor showers.

4 Rivers Camp Activities
A wide variety of activities, are all on offer from a camp that harks back to a traditional old-world safari ethos while remaining exclusive. Including game drives, night drives, walking and seasonal mokoro trips.
Healthy lion prides, cheetah coalitions, African wild dogs, and herds of elephants ramble the reserve. As well as giraffe, sitatunga and hippos. The sightings success rate is thanks to overlapping of several habitat types. 4 Rivers Camp is blessed with extensive grasslands, palm tree lined landscapes, abundant floodplains, and deep channels. With rich riverine forest snaking deep into the Delta. Being in a private concession, off road and night drives are allowed.

4 Rivers Child Policy:
Minimum age 6 years. Children younger than 6 are only accepted when reserving the entire camp for exclusive use. Full adult rates apply when the child reaches 16 years. Families with children under 12 need to book a private vehicle. Children have to be at least 12 years of age to take part in walking safaris The child rates are only applicable when a Family Room is booked. A maximum of 2 x children at the reduced rate per night. A child under the age of 18 years must stay in a room with an adult.
4 Rivers Child Rates
There is 1 x family room at 4 Rivers. The layout of the family room is 2 x sleeping rooms and 2 x bathrooms. The second of which are both smaller that the main room. These are booked on a first come first serve basis and are prioritized for families with children under the age of 18. These are not for triple/quad-sharing for adults.
There is one “floating” extra bed in the camp. This can be used in the family room for 2 x adults and 3 x children. OR, if the family room is occupied by 4 persons, this extra bed can be utilized in a standard room/tent to form one triple (2 x adults and 1 x child). We only allow a maximum of one triple to be booked (2 x adults and 1 x child) on any given night (in addition to the family room). Please check if it is available. We will otherwise be exceeding the permitted limit of the concession.

Five Rivers Safari Offer
The 5 Rivers Safari runs from 15th November 2024 to 31st of March 2025. Thereafter, it will run from 1st December to 15th April every year. This is a very special time to visit Botswana as it is a time of plenty. Mammals are healthy, and many species bring their young into the world. The bush is emerald green in color with an abundance of flora and large flocks of migrant bird species. This makes it especially good for photographers.
A minimum of 3 nights at one camp or 4 nights at any 2 camps/lodges All flying into and out of camps/lodges MUST be with Moremi Air.
2024 – 2026: No single supplement on accommodation for the first 2 singles per group. Then USD 275 per person per night single supplement applies.

Repeat Kwando Guest Special:
A 5% discount for guests who have stayed before (not applicable for new travelers in the same booking with repeat guests). The camps and date of stay need to be provided for verification purposes. Can only be combined with the Long Stay Discount.
Waiver Of Single Supplement
The single supplement will be wavered in all seasons except high season when a single person is staying at Kwando Camps for 6 nights or more.
